Hi, I'm Fiorella, CEO and founder of Mumskool.
My
passion for teaching has been a constant throughout my 17-year career in
education, during which I obtained my QTLS English Teacher qualification and MA
in Education. For the past 12 years, I've had the privilege of working as a
private tutor for children, supporting them when they fell behind in school and/or
helping others prepare for 11+ entry exams for independent schools.
My job
wasn't just about filling the gaps left by teachers, but also about instilling
in each child the confidence to make mistakes and grow in self-esteem and
self-reliance as they acquired the best learning tools. Crucially, I also aimed
to empower parents to work effectively with their children to support their academic needs.
As the
pandemic hit, the need for parents to support their children became clearer to
me than ever before. The overwhelming demand for help from parents made me
realize the importance of equipping them with the essential skills to gain an
understanding, learn the tools, and take control of their children's learning.
With Mumskool, I'm committed to providing parents with the same level of care
and guidance that I've given to each of my tutee for the past 12 years.
